Fintech companyVetroFX (Vetro) announced the launch of its Global Business Award, designed to help early-stage startups expand beyond local markets and into the global economy.
In astatement, the company says the award will highlight promising sector-agnostic startups and is open to startups from South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, the US, the UK, and other key markets. The winners of the award will be selected based on their market impact, innovation and business growth potential.
First place, runner-up and second runner-up will be awarded $10 000, $3000 and $2000 respectively.

According to data from the World Trade Organisation, 29% of global GDP islinked to international trade. In Africa, intra-continental trade is expected toboost income by $450 million by 2035.
